Hypnotized

May 11th, 2012 at 8:00pm

Mat LaVore is an engaging performer, but the real draw of his show is that he turns his audience into the stars getting the big laughs during each performance.

At the top of each show, the hypnotist runs a quick assessment on the minds of the audience members to find out which guests are in the most receptive frame of mind to be hypnotized. If you are selected, he brings you onstage with other volunteers and—with everyone seated in chairs—performs an induction. If you’re one of the people that finds yourself swimming deep in the imagination of your subconscious mind—guess what? You've just been selected as a ready and willing volunteer for his brand of hilarious hypnosis mayhem. Get ready—because things are just going to get crazier for the rest of the show.

Mat LaVore directs all his hypnotized guests to perform a series of increasingly ridiculous and hilarious tasks, creating crazy scenarios in which the volunteers will commit to fully while under his influence. You may find yourself behaving like a farm animal, living on an alien planet, or playing an imaginary instrument in an orchestra. As the show goes on, LaVore keeps upping the ante on the scenarios he has his guests perform, culminating in a hilarious finalé.

If you just want to enjoy the amazing hijinks from your seats, you don't have to participate or volunteer. But if you do make the cut of hypnotized participants, think of it as your chance to shine onstage—even if you've never thought of yourself as a performer. Plus, it will give your friends and loved ones who attend the show with you priceless stories to share with everyone you know.

For Asheville locals looking for some outrageous fun, Mat LaVore – The Hypnotist, is a fast paced and hilarious hypnosis show that will leave you mesmerized with laugher.
