Ocean Versus Daughter

Dreamy but never droney, Prague-rockers Ocean Versus Daughter are really good at the achingly beautiful thing. Things tend to start simply and starkly, maybe just the American-born Flanna Sheridan's snow-angelic voice, some strings, a little piano. But as the melody expands and the sound adrenalizes with riffs and beats, pretty new sonic worlds open up. Smart stuff to sway to.

Firestorm Cafe & Books is located in the heart of Asheville, across the street from the downtown post office.
Bike racks can be found on Coxe Avenue across the street and one block to the south.
City buses stop at the Transit Center on Coxe Avenue between 6:30am and 10pm (Mon-Fri) or 8am and 10pm (Sat).
Street and deck parking are available nearby for our friends with internal combustion engines.
